Its not officially winter yet. But Windsor have experienced the first blow when mercury goes below minus 10 degree Celsius. If minus 10 does not chill you, then count it minus 20 (with the wind factor).
Its bone chilling especially when you are still not psychologically ready for the winter of 2009.
Earlier, it was predicted that a major winter storm is going to hit southern Ontario and adjacent regions. Toronto and Ottawa experienced significant amount of snow. Fortunately, we at Windsor faced some strong wind but did not see any snow.
Environment Canada forecast says tomorrow is likely to be a little warmer and the day will be cloudy.
My guess is this year will not see much snow in terms of frequency, but the amount could be significantly heavy as compared to last year. We had about 13 days of snow in the last week of November and first week of December 2008.
