It was a day like not-in-summer; overcast and around 25 Degree Celsius at Wheatley Provincial Park. When we reached there shortly after 12:15pm, I could recognize many of the parked vehicles, meaning that most of the Windsorites have already arrived! Wow that's so nice to see from the fellow Bangladeshis.
Wheatley is a small town near Leamington, Ontario, and is famous for its conservation areas that are in or around her periphery. Kopegaron Woods Conservation Area, Hillman Marsh Conservation Area and Point Pelee National Park to name a few. Also, Rondeau Provincial Park is only a half-hour's drive to the east. The city also boasts Wheatley Provincial Park, home to the endangered Blue Racer snake, which can only be found in the park as well as the Point Pelee National Park and on Pelee Island.
The day was full of fun with lots of foods and sports for children and bhabis. Our dedicated football team had arranged a semi-serious match as well. They were divided into two teams- Ucchash (উচ্ছ্বাস) and Ananda (আনন্দ). Ananda won the match 2-0, with two players (one from each team) being injured. Some actions of the exciting match along with the other events of the picnic are presented below in a photo essay. More photos were available on my Flickr, which have now been removed.
