I had a dream ... but

Yes, I had a dream about a bicycle. A simple bicycle with two wheels, a handle bar to steer, and a plain seat. The dream never came true.

I remember Jewel bhai, who had a mini bike. Mini in the sense that it was too small for his size. I rode on that bike once and for all. I never had a bike, I do not want to have one now.

I could not demand for a bike in my childhood. Instead, I expected it whenever I achieved some sort of academic excellence. The expectation never realized.

My daughter is as shy as I was in her age. On many occasions I promised her a bike, but did not buy one. She is now 5, and goes to school, sees her friends riding their own bikes. Perhaps, she now dreams a bike too, but she never demands it; because, that's how she is being raised up, the same way I was raised up.

Yesterday, actually the day before yesterday, I bought a bike for her from ToysRus. They assembled it for me and delivered it yesterday.

I want to give my daughter a surprise. With a "My little Ponny" bike, she will be overwhelmed, no doubt. Her dream will come true on June 29th, when she returns from Bangladesh.

A ready bike is awaiting her!

Do I feel fulfilled? Perhaps, yes.
