Hillary Ride III | Kewkradong Bangladesh

"Every year a group folks I know organize what they call the Hillary Ride. The ride pays tribute to Sir Edmond Hillary who died at the age of 88. So each year around this time they go out a cycle 88 km. This year we cycled 150 km.

The trip started by meeting up at Sagarhat ferry terminal where we caught an overnight boat to Barishal. The trip got under way at 9:30 after getting the bikes and people loaded on the ferry. That night we ate, drank and joked around until 1am. Eventually made my way to the roof of the boat with my pad and sheet and slept out behind an ac unit by myself out in the open. I woke once I heard a lot of commotion down below in the dull morning light. 4am was way to early and my head was pounding."
