এবারের অনুষ্ঠান ছিল ওয়েল অর্গানাইজড। বিশেষ করে খাওয়া পর্ব নিয়ে এর আগের দুইবার যা দেখেছি তাতে মনে হয়েছিল যেন সত্যিকার বাংলাদেশে আছি। এবারে তার ব্যত্যয় ঘটেছে। ১০-১৫ জন ভলান্টিয়ার নিজেরা অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রম করে, খাবার সবার হাতে হাতে জায়গামত পৌঁছে দিয়ে অত্যন্ত সুশৃংখল ভাবে সে পর্ব শেষ করেছেন। তাদের অশেষ ধন্যবাদ জানাচ্ছি। যার মাথা থেকে এই বুদ্ধিটা এসেছে তাকেও ধন্যবাদ।
এবারের সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানে শিশুদের অংশগ্রহণ ছিল উল্লেখযোগ্য। কিন্তু শুনতে খারাপ লাগলেও বলতে হচ্ছে একেকজনের ৪/৫টি করে আইটেমে অংশগ্রহণ একদম ভালো লাগেনি। মান সম্পন্ন হলে একটা কথা ছিল, কেউ কেউ এমন গান গাইলেন যেন স্টেজে উঠেই প্রথম গাইছেন, রিহ্যারস্যাল করেছেন বলে মনে হয়নি। এমনকি সিনিয়র এক ভাইয়ের গানেও একই অবস্থা।
বাচ্চাদের অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্যে উল্লেখযোগ্য ছিল পিয়ানো বাজানো, নাচ এবং শেষের দিকে করা আধুনিক ড্যান্স। খুবই ভালো লেগেছে। বড়দের মধ্যে সৈকত ভাইয়ের গান এবং টরন্টো থেকে আগত ভাবীর গান ভালো লেগেছে। নূর ভাই যে গান লেখেন এবং সুর দেন সেটা সৈকত ভাইয়ের কারণে জানা হলো।
যে ভাই সুকান্তের কবিতা আবৃত্তি করলেন তিনি মনে হয় এই কবিতা আগেরবারও আবৃত্তি করেছিলেন। নতুন কিছু করলেই বেশী ভালো হতো, আফটার অল আমরা আমরাই তো, রিপিটেশন কেমন যেন লাগে।
বিদ্রোহী কবিতার আবৃত্তি অসাধারণ লেগেছে। সেজন্য জাহান ভাইকে ধন্যবাদ।
এবারে ছবি তুলে সুবিধা করতে পারিনি। অনুষ্ঠানের দৈর্ঘ্য এর একটা কারণ হতে পারে। ৬ ঘন্টার প্রোগ্রাম ছোট করে ২ বা আড়াই ঘন্টার মধ্যে শেষ করলেই মনে রাখার মতো একটা কিছু হতো। বেশী ভালো করতে গিয়ে একই ধরনের পারফরমেন্স অনেক সময় বিরক্তিকর লেগেছে।
যাই হোক এই পোস্ট দিয়ে আপনাদের বিরক্ত করলাম বলে দু:খিত। নিজের জন্যই ভাবনাগুলো লিখে রাখলাম। সত্য প্রকাশে আমার একটু কমই বাধে। মন্তব্য করতে চাইলে স্বাগতম।

Great Post Enayet bhai. The pictures you took came out really nice and I am sure it would please our community even more if you could put them in our bdwindsor.org website. Also, I agree whole heartedly with your remarks about the great job that the volunteers did. Their efforts to minute details made the program successful. From cooking to distribution and to even quenching the thirst of the performers was under their full control. If my memory serves me right, the idea of distributing food to the audience was mentioned by Bappee bhai in our E.C. meeting and it gathered instant support amongst the other volunteers.
ReplyDeleteWith regards to our youngsters' performance, I always felt that living 12 thousand kilometres away from Bangladesh, we have to rethink our priorities. We must put participation before quality; Encouragement before judgement.
Our youngsters do not see much of Bangladeshi Cultural activity. They don't have a real point of reference that they can hook themselves up. We try to encourage them so that even if it is in a very little scale, their attachment to this sort of activity would turn themselves into the beholders of Bangladeshi cultural elements and hopefully someday infuse these elements with the global culture. That is why we allowed multiple items so that they can find out which ones they are good at and which ones they really are interested in. Because of this practice our youngsters have improved their performance tremendously in the areas that they eventually focused upon. So we only ask the indulgence from our respected audience who are of such refined taste.
Our youngsters' will deliver someday, till then all we can offer is our patience.

বর্ণনা আর ছবি দু'টোই ভালো হয়েছে। এমন অনুষ্ঠানের ছবি দেখলেই আফসোস হয়। কারণ যাবার সৌভাগ্য খুব একটা হয় না।

I agree with your opinion regarding multiple performance. Was there anybody as a guide to tell them where they're performing well? That would have been great! Also I missed you from the very start of the program.

Sorry Aumit, I thought, for a Torontonian, our program will be like "mamar kase nana barir golpo". If I knew your situation, then I would have invited you. But it was really looong, from 6pm till 12:40am.
